Preppy Pinkies was born in the University of Alabama gift shop while on a whirlwind tour of colleges during spring break of 2011. My daughter loved seeing all the colleges and what they offered while I loved looking at the gift shops and all the cute items for sale. I chose the name Preppy Pinkies & Sorority Stitches because deep down I’m still a preppy sorority girl. When choosing fabrics for applique, I have to force myself to stay away from the pink fabrics and try new color groups. Unbelievably, my youngest doesn’t like pink. Can you imagine, a girl that doesn’t like pink????
